Brief Description

The purpose of Soulforce is freedom for lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender people from religious and political oppression through the practice of relentless nonviolent resistance.

Evangelicals Concerned (EC) is a safe place for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender Christians to reconcile and integrate their faith and sexuality. As a non-denominational community, EC encourages spiritual growth for anyone on their journey of faith through conferences, local groups, bible studies, and educational resources.

Al-Bab aims to introduce non-Arabs to the Arabs and their culture. Western explorers of the 18th and 19th centuries portrayed the Arab world as a strange, exotic and sometimes terrifying place. Al-Bab seeks to portray the Arab world neither as an object of fear nor as a cultural curiosity - fascinating though it may be.

DignityUSA envisions and works for a time when Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Catholics are affirmed and experience dignity through the integration of their spirituality with their sexuality, and as beloved persons of God participate fully in all aspects of life within the Church and Society.

We believe that God values and embraces each person as a beloved child, that the Spirit gives a diversity of gifts for the common good, and that Jesus Christ calls us to work for justice. The ministries of Lutherans Concerned / North America (LC/NA) embody, inspire, and support the acceptance and full participation of people of all sexual orientations and gender identities, their families, friends and allies, within the Lutheran communion and its ecumenical and global partners.

Seventh-day Adventist Kinship International is a support organization devoted to the spiritual, emotional, social and physical well-being of current and former Seventh-day Adventists who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgendered (LGBT).  We believe all are created in the image of God and that no one should be mistreated or discriminated against because of their sexual orientation differences. Kinship is a volunteer organization that champions human rights for all people.
The Office is guided by the vision that someday we will be able to put ourselves out of business and that oppression against bisexual, gay, lesbian, and/or transgender people, whether it be overt or subtle, will be a thing of the past.

Our vision is an environment where Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) Jews worldwide can enjoy free and fulfilling lives.

HeartStrong is a non sectarian organization established to provide outreach to gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgendered and other persons adversely affected by the influence of all denominations of religious educational institutions.  HeartStrong is also committed to educating the public about the persecution of GLBT’s and others at religious educational institutions.

Religion is the genesis of the controversy, both the beginning and the framework in which the intense debate is waged.   What one believes religion teaches about homosexuality is often the partition that divides those who support gay rights and those who do not. People of strong faith are on both sides.  By providing links to a wide variety of websites it is our hope we might increase the knowledge and improve the understanding we have for each other. While other faiths are included, there is an emphasis on Christianity because in the USA that is the religion that drives the discussion.  We believe this website is the most comprehensive one devoted to this seismic issue.

You don’t have to leave your mind, heart and body behind when you encounter the Bible. This Human Rights Campaign resource places comments about the Bible alongside the real life experiences and concerns of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people of faith and our allies. With the help of skilled scholars, you will discover a fresh approach to Scripture. Here you can be honest, question and go deeper.
